MediaTek prioritizes AI to power upcoming technologies

As artificial intelligence (AI) advances rapidly into diverse areas in modern society, it has become a pivotal force in reshaping the technological landscape for a lot of industries.

The cloud and data center infrastructure for AI is going to be critical, and we see significant opportunities for MediaTek there.”

MediaTek emphasized that the Southeast Asia (SEA) region was among three markets that posted a Total Addressable Market (TAM) share of over 50% in smartphones last year.

These numbers further reinforce that MediaTek is uniquely placed to meet the demands of the modern tech consumer, especially in a region like SEA, whose high level of sophistication is a testament to the quality of MediaTek’s offerings.

MediaTek is the world’s leading chipset supplier since 2020. Its market in the Southeast Asia region posted a Total Addressable Market (TAM) share of over 50% in smartphones last year.

It has announced that it is expanding its GenAI ecosystem with support from Baidu and Llama, among others, to empower on-device GenAI with real-time features like object removal and image generation.
