As various companies and industries in the Philippines increasingly adopt AI technologies, it is crucial to provide their workforce with the necessary skills to adapt to this changing landscape.
This is why as part of Google’s ongoing commitment to help build a Digital Philippines towards an AI-ready economy, the company announced the availability of Google AI Essentials course on Coursera to equip Filipinos with AI skills.
Google AI Essentials is a self-paced online course taught by AI experts at Google, which is designed to help people get essential AI skills to boost productivity. The Beginner Level does require prior AI experience and takes less than 10 hours to complete. Through this course, learners will gain the skills on Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, Large Language Model (LLMs) to name a few. After course completion, learners will receive a shareable certificate from Google.
By providing AI training and upskilling the modern workforce using Google AI Essentials, they’ll be able to leverage on AI tools to generate ideas and content, make more informed decisions, and speed up daily tasks.
Google AI Essentials Scholarships
Google partnered with the Department of Information Communications Technology and the Department of Trade and Industry to extend scholarship opportunities to more Filipinos nationwide. These government agencies will grant scholarships among Filipino youth, jobseekers, entrepreneurs, civil servants, and MSMEs.
