Tecno is committing to extend the life of their devices by providing longer software support. While industry leaders like Samsung, Google, and Apple currently offer longer update windows, Tecno’s new policy signifies a significant shift for the brand.
Previously, Tecno devices haven’t been known for lengthy software support. However, the Camon 30 line-up, consisting of the Camon 30 4G, Camon 30 5G, Camon 30 Pro 5G, and the premium Camon 30 Premier 5G will receive 3 years of major Android updates – bumping them to Android 15 and Android 16 – alongside 36 months of security patches.
This extended support aligns with the growing trend of consumers keeping their phones for longer periods.
The Tecno Camon 30 Series was recently launched in the Philippines, available on TikTok, Shopee, Lazada, and TECNO Partner Retail Stores. The Camon 30 4G is also coming to the local market in June.
The Camon 30 5G 8GB+256GB and 8GB+512GB variants are priced at PHP 11,999 and PHP 13,999, respectively. Meanwhile, the Camon 30 Pro 5G 12GB+512GB is priced at PHP 19,999, and the CAMON 30 Premier 5G 12GB+512GB goes for PHP 23,999.
